Worship

What to expect in worship:

Come dressed in whatever you are most comfortable wearing in worship if that means a suit and tie, great! If that means jeans and a T-shirt great! We are happy to have you with us and want you dressed in whatever way best allows you to hear and celebrate the good news of God’s love in Christ.

Coffee is available before and after worship, and you are always welcome to bring it to your seat with you.

As you enter, there are welcome cards and bulletins by the front doors. Please take as many as you need. And for your first week with us, we ask that your only offering be the welcome card filled out so that we can get to know you better.

​

Each Sunday, we have a children’s message for children Pre-K through 5. Children of all ages are always welcome to stay with us in the sanctuary through the whole service. We love the sound of children in worship with us.

We are a community guided by both new and traditional elements in worship. Each service has a prayer of confession so that we can know from the beginning of worship that we are forgiven and welcomed by God. We always have time for sharing prayer requests, both joys and concerns, as one church body, filled with the Spirit. And the first Sunday of each month, we come together around the Lord’s Table to share in communion.

We sing just about every style of music in our worship services: hymns, praise songs, gospel, spirituals, and new music from around the world, including Taize and Iona.

​

In worshiping with us, we hope that you will know the good news of God’s grace and love, join in praise and celebration at God’s great work of salvation, and be filled with the Spirit to go out and serve and love the world.
